A young lady leaves her home to go to the shop. While walking by an abandoned car, she notices some children poking at one of the wheel wells. Suddenly, they run off screaming. Within seconds, she is attacked by four wasps, who leave their stings buried within her hands and feet, two a piece.
Sometimes in life we take actions that result in unintended outcomes. We like to call those “side effects”. To the persons negatively affected, they are far from minor inconveniences. Though unintended, they are none the less painful.
Perhaps we should stop teaching our children about side effects, and have a serious talk with them about consequences.
